Bespoke garden room, Oxford

The client for this brief requested a dual-purpose bespoke garden room.

They wanted their space to be used primarily for entertaining – in addition to this their daughter is a ballerina and needed a space to practice her ballet. We combined these two purposes to create a truly bespoke Multi Space garden room.

The studio has floor to ceiling mirrors on the right wall, which makes the room feel more spacious and is ideal for the client’s ballet discipline; mirrors are paramount for practicing technique. The integrated barre in the centre of the mirrors is the perfect space saving addition for ballet practice without compromising space like a free-standing barre would.

The size of this space is approximately 37.2 m2. The client opted for a large bifold door, fixed floor to ceiling panel window and an additional glazed side door to optimise the natural light and allow for the space to be extended onto the decking area during those warm summer evenings. Paired with the mirrors inside this really does give the feeling of ample space.

The flooring is a grey wood effect vinyl paired with melamine wall panels also in a wood effect.

They also opted for a canopy with integrated lighting which extends over the decking area, the perfect socialising space.

As the client has begun to fill the space with interior décor, they have requested they would love a drinks bar fitted for when they entertain, which of course we can’t wait to install!

We really enjoyed this project creating a fun and functional dual purpose real ‘Multi’ Space.
